Aluminium belts for special applications

The aluminium tape consists of an acrylic adhesive and a silicone paper.
This adhesive offers high reliability at both high (110 °C) and low temperatures (-20 °C), even in the presence of moisture. It is mainly used on fibreglass surfaces, sheet metal. UV and ageing resistant. Fire resistance class 1.

Product usage

It is essential that the user evaluates the product to determine whether it is suitable for a particular purpose and method of application of the user. Good results will be achieved when applied to a clean, dry surface with adequate pressure on the product and a temperature of +10 ~ 40 °C (+50 ~ +105 °F).

Surface preparation

It is essential, as with all pressure-sensitive tapes, that the surface to which the tape is applied is clean, dry and free of grease, oil or other contaminants.

Technical specifications

The aluminium stand provides excellent reflection of both heat and light.
The cold adhesive with moderate adhesion offers good sealing in industrial HVAC applications.
Good resistance to ageing both indoors and outdoors.
The low moisture transmission rate makes the tape an excellent vapour barrier.

HVAC industry to join and seal laminated fibreglass joints and seams; join and seal flexible joints and connections for air ducts.
Sealing, sealing and masking applications – both indoors and outdoors.

Storage

12 months if stored at 21°C (70°F) and 50% relative humidity, avoiding direct contact with UV light.
