Gel joints

The gel joint series is suitable for insulating 0.6/1 kV single and multi-core low voltage linear and branch connections.
The range consists of a linear series and a derivative. The former allows both single and multi-pole connections with a maximum cross-section of 1×185 mm² and 4×25 mm² respectively; the latter allows single and multi-pole connections with a maximum cross-section of 1×120 mm² and 4×10 mm² respectively.
The isolation of the phases in each joint is achieved by means of a separator in the kit or by using innovative insulated modular terminals for up to five phases with a maximum cross-section of 35 mm2.

Components and features

two hinged polypropylene shells with a patented water-tightness system, consisting of an internal longitudinal rib (1) that acts as a gel containment screen. At both ends, pre-fractured walls (2) allow the gel to escape and ensure a good seal against water.
cable sliding is prevented in the longitudinal direction by knurling (3) at the ends of the shells, in the transverse direction by tightening the cable with the cable ties provided
patented separator consisting of two plates, each with a notch that allows them to engage with each other, and two semi-spherical projections that lock them in place when set against each other
two cable ties to be inserted and tightened into the two recesses at the ends of each model. The joint may only be opened using a tool in accordance with CEI 64-8.
