The two-component polybutadiene resin is used for sealing and electrical insulation up to 1 kV. It is classified as LI-W (low voltage insulation in the presence of water) according to Cenelec standard HD 631.1 S2.
Polybutadiene resin has several advantages: environmentally friendly, halogen- and isocyanate-free, cross-linking process free of health hazards, fast gelling time, high water repellency, re-accessibility after cross-linking, high insulation properties, high moisture resistance, adhesion to all plastic cables, no exothermic reaction during curing, excellent hydrolytic stability, control of homogeneity during mixing.
